The Sovereign Individual by Davidson and Rees-Mogg

The Rise and Decline of the State and The Transformation of War by Martin van Creveld.

Some people saw it coming. It will be a nasty unraveling of large nation states with increasing chaos.

The Sovereign Individual is an outstanding book, but Davidson's prose style is opaque. I had to read each paragraph 5 to 10 times before I could distill all the juice out of it.
