It sucks to be a cop in District 9.

The movie District 9 is completely misunderstand by most people who saw it according to the producer ...

It's a story about apartheid, people being delegated to third class citizenship...

But my understanding is he ran BEFORE they tried to detain him. Upon first sight.

That's not illegal in any of the 50 states.

Running from the police is reasonable suspicion to pursue, stop and detain (and even handcuff) someone, according to the supreme court.

If the citizen chooses to walk away, he can. Without reasonable suspicion of a crime the officer can’t impede him from going about his business. Refusal to speak to the officer can’t be used to build reasonable suspicion.

It depends. In a high-crime area (Baltimore City), fleeing the police upon sight is reasonable suspicion.

I honestly thought everything would change. I was wrong.

I think you were right - things have changed.

But for the worse.

The country is much more divided, there is more hate and mistrust, and we have worse leadership than we have ever had.

Our leaders intentionally pit us off against each other for their own political and personal gain.

They keep the citizenry divided and suspicious of each other in every way possible - by race, by religion, over immigration.

They keep us scrapping and bickering while they get fatter and wealthier as they rape the country and bleed the treasury dry.

I have no doubt what we are seeing right now is coming from Hillary.

This is exactly what Hillary had in mind with her “Scorched Earth Policy”, not just the release of FBI files on police abuse and corruption but massive race riots throughout every city in the US and the mandatory release of prisoners unless the Constitution was suspended, which also meant B Clinton would have stayed in the WH until he decided he wanted to leave.

Hillary attempted to implement her “Scorched Earth Policy” on March 20, 1999.

It was supposed to start with a news story from an AP reporter named Martha Mendoza.

The story was about how police weren’t being held accountable for abuse.

Hillary also tried this same little dirty trick to get into the WH in November of 2006 when the dems began their BS story of Bush firing the US Attorneys.

Someone from CREW claimed there were problems in the civil rights division, meaning police complaints, as the reason Bush had fired the US Attorneys.

Hillary tried it a third time with the Gates dust up in July of 2009 when the CBC immediately called for a review of all complaints filed against police with the FBI.

What we are seeing is a standard Clinton dirty trick to get into the WH or stay in the WH permanently once there.

Exactly. I seriously don't belive this will get beyond the suburbs of majority dem cities.

Once law abiding suburbanites, regardless of race, realize that police will not be allowed to intervene in the mayhem they will take measures to protect their families, their lives and their property.

And if they do that, Obama is waiting in the winds to make police “Federal”. Think things will be ugly now, just wait if they are all made Federalized.

"Running from the police is reasonable suspicion to pursue, stop and detain (and even handcuff) someone, according to the supreme court. "

Not so. Even refusing to speak to an officer and walking/running away...absent some OTHER reasonable suspicion...cannot be used to ascribe "reasonable suspicion" to detain.

And it can never be used as reasonable CAUSE for arrest.

Spray the rioters with a mixture of fish emulsion and runny cow manure.

While watching The Five, this afternoon, Dana mentioned an article in the NYT's.

Seems the gangs that were out during the riots to PROTECT businesses, made it a point to stop rioters from attacking businesses owned by blacks, BUT pointed the rioters to businesses owned by Asians and Hispanics.

43 of the businesses torched or plundered were not owned by blacks.

I didn’t say it made arrest proper. Freddie Gray was a convicted felon on supervised probation. He was required to comply with police as a condition of his probation.

He fled upon seeing police.

The police had reasonable suspicion to stop and detain him.

I should have clarified, running from the police in a high crime area is reasonable suspicion. it's a "totality of circumstances" thing.

Direct quote from article. They did not point towards Hispanics but Arab owned stores.

He described how he and some Bloods members stood in front of stores that they knew were black-owned business, to protect them from looting and vandalism. He said they made sure no black youths, or reporters, were injured by rioters.

Instead, he said, they pointed the rioters toward Chinese- and Arab-owned stores.

“Hands off blacks” is where this is all going.

White folk better get use to having more contact with the police.

In other few years, half of law enforcement will be black, even though they’re only about 15 percent of the population.

Whites will be seen as much easier subjects to deal with for the government.

What I don’t get is why cops don’t stage a nationwide strike or walk out or blue flu day so society can find out what it’s like to live without them.

They are getting zero support from us the people they protect everyday.

-——local white business owners.-——

Mr Levy, the jewish owner of a trashed shoe store with inventory loss of $1.5 million defended the rioters. Like the pre holocaust jews in Germany, he feared the government more than he valued his stolen assets.

No one capable of critical thought has little or no trust left in government.

The wide spread lack of trust is escalating for good reason.
