The Statement of Probable Cause had no “probable cause” in it justifying the charges. The charging document itself is deficient.

I consider someone innocent of charges until they are proven guilty, and I cannot support criminal charges against anyone when no probable cause has been demonstrated that indicates the charged crimes even occurred.

Had the Statement of Probable Cause established direct criminal action that caused the death, then it would be a different story. At most, I have heard (unreliable) media reports that could amount to a civil case for negligence. That’s a far cry from charging someone with a crime.

I support the rule of law.

I haven’t read the indictment text. I also agree with the rule of law, and if she doesn’t have sufficient probable cause to believe crimes were committed, then she shouldn’t prosecute regardless of riots or political pressure. However, you can’t trust media reports. There’s always a flurry of misinformation in situations like this.

This is the intro to a Kangaroo Kourt with a cozy known relationship between the prosecutor and the attorney for Mr. Gray, a secret unreleased police report and reports that would preclude any Probable Cause except for incompetence or negligence.
Have the results of tests on the knife that was found on Mr. Gray been released? Was there human blood on the knife?
Was DNA testing done on the blood and comparisons made to other unsolved crimes in the area?
