Porn-Watching EPA Employees Earning $120,000 A Year Put on Paid Administrative Leave
CNS News ^ | April 30, 2015 | Ali Meyer

An inspector general (IG) investigation found that employees at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) earning $120,000 a year were watching pornography on the job and were put on paid administrative leave for almost a year before anybody tried to fire them. “Over the past two years, the EPA Office of Inspector General (OIG) has conducted investigations of multiple cases of serious misconduct carried out by EPA employees,” explained the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee at a hearing on EPA mismanagement Thursday.

...

There are continued problems with EPA employees who watch pornography at work,” said Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) in his opening remarks. “Even more insulting to taxpayers is that after the inspector general reported these abuses, the porn-watching employees were placed on paid administrative leave for almost a year before anybody even tried to fire them. Now these people were being paid roughly, in the neighborhood of about $120,000 a year.

...

By turning a blind eye, EPA management allowed at least six more women to be harassed by Mr. Jutro, and we know this because of the good work by the men and women who serve in the inspector goffice,” Chaffetz added. “When Mr. Jutro was finally put on paid leave, he quickly retired with full pension benefits to avoid being interviewed by the IG about these allegations.”

If all someone needs to do to get a $120,000 a year paid vacation for over a year is to watch some porn at work and make sure your supervisor catches you, why is anyone working?

But on the other hand, this probably is better for the economy overall than if they were at their desks making new business destroying rules or enforcing the existing ones.

“When Mr. Jutro was finally put on paid leave, he quickly retired with full pension benefits to avoid being interviewed by the IG about these allegations.”

And THAT is how these parasites get away with almost everything they do.

Just what I came into this thread to say, we are better off if they aren't making more rules over us.

How much longer are we going to grease our rumps for these felons? I say we load up the pick-up truck and head to D.C. with some pitchforks, some rope, and some turpentine.

Go ahead, ask me why...

The pitchforks and rope I understand. The turpentine, not so much.

Don't you mean tar and feathers?

I want all EPA workers to watch porn all day. That goes for IRS, ATF, BLM workers too.
The only thing worse than an incompetent federal government is a competent one. On balance, the U.S. Federal government is a force for evil; they seek to oppress the individual and deprive him of constitutional rights. Although many individuals working for the federal government are compartmentalized, the overarching aims they are collectively working for are not good.
These stories give me hope.

Pour turpentine on their backs after you flog them. Sure, it’s an unpleasant sting for them, but it helps prevent infection.

I know some EPA folks. They aren’t any happier with what is being done with their agency than we are.

For the torches. Turpentine burns brighter than kerosine.

Did their crack investigators ever find the employee who was taking a daily dump in the Denver epa office hallway?

I don’t believe government employees should be able to use taxpayer’s property for anything but work.

They work for us. Well, it’s supposed to be that way.

I know this liberal clown that works for the US Treasury in Birmingham. He post all day on various website forums. We’re paying for this?
