There are really only two choices for a government worker that works for an agency, department or subsection that has a mission inconsistent with the constitution and individual rights: covert frustration of the mission via ineffiency or sabotage and/or accumulating evidence to publically undermine the mission- whistleblower.
During WW2 the slave laborers working for the Nazis often loosen screws on airplane parts, shaved down gears in motors. This is the type of thing that ethical people do when working for an unethical organization.
Now is a time for choosing.
Third option - do your job so effective and efficiently that the frog sitting in the pot of water on the stove wakes up before it is cooked.
Because let’s face it. If the people are willing to take what is happening to them, they’ll get what they deserve.
