Georgia Mom Calls Police On 10-Year-Old Son For Being Disrespectful

Chiquita Hill, 33, posted photos of her 10-year-old son being "arrested" to Facebook after she called the police because he was being disrespectful. Hill posted the photos with captions describing how she did not want her son to become a thug.

"First let me say that I love my children," Hill wrote on Facebook Tuesday. "They are what keeps me going. But ... I’ll be damned if they are disrespectful to me and anyone else."

Her son had been acting up at school and disrespecting his teacher, leading the teacher to show up at Hill's house for a parent-teacher conference.

Hill's post continued: "That was it for me, the last straw. My children will not be thugs and wannabes. … What I did next was scared [him] straight, Columbus Ga style...”

Hill asked her son why he was misbehaving in school, and he replied, "Because I wanted to and I don’t care.”

The single mother of three then called the police and told them her son was being disrespectful. They obliged her request and pulled up to the house to scare the young boy.

"They put him in handcuffs and were loud, and he didn’t have time to react," Hill told the Ledger-Enquirer Thursday. "They put him in the car and let him sit and think about it. At that time, they called my daughter out and talked to her. They explained to her why her brother was in trouble and sent her back inside.

"Then they went back to the car, and one of the officers got in and flashed the lights and started driving just a few inches."

"It hurt me," Hill said. "I didn’t want to do it, but I had to get across to him."

When the boy was released from the vehicle, he ran to his mother and gave her “the biggest hug.” He then went to console his sister, who was very upset.

Hill said that the message clearly got through to her son, as he has not misbehaved since the incident.

Hill's Facebook post gained a lot of attention, with over 3,500 likes and 1,000 shares. While many people liked the lesson she taught her son, others were apprehensive about such an extreme measure.

Hill defended her stance, saying, “What I say to people that say I’m emotionally hurting my child or giving him a fear of law enforcement: He respects law and knows they’re there to help people, but he also knows they’re also there to show him the consequences of his action."

Hill's harsh lesson brought to mind another strict mother who is not afraid to scold her children. Toya Graham of Baltimore was recently caught on camera slapping her son repeatedly after catching him taking part in the Baltimore riots.

Perhaps Toya Graham may have started a trend with her tough love treatment that HOPEFULLY straightened her son out. And leave it to some White libs who think they know what's best for Black people (which in itself is an insidious form of racism) to be concerned with the kid's "emotional stability".

#1 problem. No dad there.

The police (state agents) are called by the woman to be the dad.

This is the liberal solution and they are just so damn happy it has worked out this way for this woman and child, and the millions of other families they’ve helped stay dysfunctional by their deliberate policies they’ve enacted in their 50 year WAR ON FAMILIES.

Back in the old days there were fathers at home who scared their sons straight.

The problem is moms are not male fathers. They just cannot demand the respect of a puberty-riddled, smartass knowitall boy. They can embarrass him and plead to him and that might work. However it won’t get his respect and he will not fear them or respect them because he knows he’s stronger and if he really wanted to he could do whatever he wanted. Male fathers will not tolerate that crap and will beat the living crap out of them and then beat both the fear of God and common sense back into them. If that is what is required because the kid is that much of a brick head. Most don’t need such a harsh remedy. Most would see dad isn’t kidding and will see dad will put them down, and back down because they know they are not the alpha.

Women cannot be an alpha male. That is why there is so little success with urban black boys with no dads. It’s not possible for them to be that way. It’s like asking a dad to take on the alpha female role.

Course our stupid country will not let dads be dads anyway anymore. And so we end up with the Trayvons and the Freddies and the rest who run in feral gang thug packs seeking the approval of the substitute father alpha male gang leader.

Of course she found a way to pass the cost of raising her children on to the taxpayers...

A thank you would be nice.

Well I am torn on it.

She did SOMETHING. A Scared Straight approach can have an impact on a kid if you get them before it’s too late. So while using the cops yes, but if it has an impact it may really pay for itself for society down the road.

It’s basically all she knows to do, and given her no husband, probably all she can do to get the damn kid to listen. Moms are not dads and boys need a male role model who isn’t going to take their crap and get their heads on straight. fearfully and painfully if necessary.

Good. Tough love for fatherless boys is the best action a single Mom can take. We all know who the Mom-of-the-Year is from the video.

Why is the fact that so many black children that don't have fathers is not discussed? Oh right, that would be "racist".

Ya know what? I'm tired of ignoring that HUGE elephant in the room. It's been a long time fact that black men knock up black women and move on to their next piece of tail. What is wrong with black men? Why don't they have any sense of responsibility to their own children?

What? Their ancestors were oppressed so they think they can just walk away? Is that their excuse? If not, what the hell is their excuse for not supporting their own children??? I'm sick of black men not supporting their own children while they push and shove for the next Jordans.

Thanks a lot guys. I used to be on your side back when, you've shown me it was a waste of my time. You black men who leave their children are just awful. Hope you all die in some ally or shot down by your gangster Bros. FU all.

To: Impala64ssa; All

Considering some Nosy Nancy’s would report her to DCF if she spanked her child I think she did the perfect thing to enforce the notion of natural consequences

I have no problem with that. Some people, children included, can't see or hear a thing until they get smacked with a 2X4.

maybe a little corporal punishment earlier would’ve stopped the disrepect now. Guess that’s old school parenting.

Sounds like the old days...

My father used to tell me how the police, back in his day, would “scare” young boys with an “arrest” and a ride in the police car for, say, sneaking into a movie theater.

But, in this case, the problem is that there’s no father in the home. And, even with a father in the home, he would have to be a good father, or this boy still would lack a good role model.

I put my sons into church youth groups and in activities with strong male role models, such as scouts, etc. I hope these moms are looking into those things, too.

We had a few officers in our small community....one named ‘Yorky’ nobody forgets even to this day. He was a midget. But there’s not a kid in town who wasn’t afraid of him. His voice was so deep it scared the daylights out of you...when he spoke we jumped! On the other hand he was good to all the kids as well...we loved it because he was no taller than we were!

But kids respected the officers then...as well other adults. If our neighbors saw us up to something we shouldn’t be they didn’t hesitate to raise their voices. Today “you can’t interfer”.

My dad died when we were young from military wounds...when my brother got to be about twelve my sister’s boyfriend said he needed to toughen up like a young man.....so they put him on their farm to work during hay season. He took his “butterfly net” because he was into science and biology......can you imagine what those big tough farm hands put him through! But he learned...he did learn. LOLOL

If his lesson keeps him out of future trouble, it’s money well spent.

....”It’s been a long time fact that black men knock up black women and move on to their next piece of tail. What is wrong with black men? Why don’t they have any sense of responsibility to their own children?”......

Because they know the state will take care of them. Further it’s also well known that black woman aren’t exactly easy to live with, they bring a lot of past abuse from fathers and brothers, and their friends into their marriages....so the rage in black woman is very high from the get go.

There really is something to a man having some bass in his voice. It doesn’t seem to matter how tall he is; that voice alone can command respect. :-)

Yep, in many cases, we just can’t interfere today and tell parents when their kids are misbehaving. Or the parents might get angry at us.

I’m sure your brother learned a lot working on that farm... Sorry about your father.

Over the past year, I took my middle son down to the local fire dept. and had him sign up to learn more about what they do there. When I mentioned to them that he doesn’t seem to have much self-confidence, they said, “Oh, don’t worry, he will when we’re through with him.” LOL.

This went down very fortunately. Most often the cops show, find the older son is wanted on some outstanding warrants, the dog gets shot, flash bangs go off, Social Services then shows up and takes the kids.

Cops are not family counselors, therapists, or such. Calling them usually makes matters a whole lot worse. This mom is lucky and the cops deserve a real patience award.

Good one!

Well the world is pretty much deluded today on what is bad and what is good and helpful. Rather it's each to it's own and nobody "dares" to care for fear of being sued.

I spoke up to a man at work who was grabbing/shaking his kid so hard he could have given him that shaken baby death. People standing around were more than disturbed. My boss told me later that I was not to do that and it could cost me my job if it happened again, that we cannot involve ourselves.........I told her I understood but that she needed to understand I would do that again and if the company fired me I'd be going to the press with the story.

Our country doesn't protect it's children who are in serious conditions any more.....it's all one extreme or the other and few who dare to use common sense.
