I read a tale once about a man who was so pessimistic and gloomy that no one could get him to act positive about anything. One young fellow heard about him and, in his youthful confidence said, “I can get him to smile, just show him to me.” The young fellow walked up to the grouch with a beaming smile that caused average humans to melt and said breezily, “Good morning sir, this certainly is a beautiful day, don’t you think?” The old grouch frowned at him and answered, “I hate good weather.” Somewhat at a loss, the young fellow replied, “But how could you not like good weather?” The old grouch responded, “Good weather is always followed by bad weather.”
