People should not be allowed to recognize any distinctions between people at all. Calling someone by name is such a distinction. It constitutes discrimination- favoritism or antipathy toward the person so named. A third party is necessarily offended that his own name wasn't spoken.
Marriage should be totally determined by lottery with no discrimination of sex, age, religion, species, or viability.
