Generally the professional black subclass included those that had fled Baltimore city and educated them selves. A woman that had successfully fled repulsed the advances of a former lover that went to prison while she went to college.
The Wire was an excellent series. It skewed left, but given the subject matter, it was surprisingly honest in its portrayals especially for an HBO series.
