I’m sure to many on the Left, including those writing the law in places like CT, CA, MA, etc., it was an assault pistol. Too high a magazine capacity, no chamber status indicator, not on state approved list, and on down the litany of infringements used by those who don’t really recognize 2A rights.
I am more than a little interested in that cop’s resume. Did he really learn to shoot under pressure at the local range, or does his past include special forces? I don’t want him identified in public, since the thugs would go after his wife and kids, but it seems likely that his training was outside the police academy.

The most commonly issued 45ACP Glock for uniformed LEO duty is the Glock 21 (13+1). That would be my best guess.

Thanks, I have not yet purchased a Glock 21, but I do have a Taurus Oss Ds in .45acp which is a 13 + 1 striker fired. I like the system on the Taurus because it allows for second or third strike if the first trigger pull fails to ignite the chambered round. IMS, the Glock 21 barrel is a bit shorter than the Taurus. Beretta made a nice 13 + 1 in 45acp that is now being made on Turkish machinery. Nice carry piece but all steel.

My son has the Glock 21, its a great choice for handgun situations; especially for any that may be other than brief.
Truthfully, a well-placed 9mm JHP round would have produced the same effect delivered to the central nervous system. However, I must admit that I grinned when I learned the pistol used was a Glock 45ACP (probably Glock 21). I've carried and trained with its little brother, the Glock 30 45ACP (10+1), for many years.
