What do you expect from all-knowing Boston, where they wring their hands over the possibility of the Marathon Bomber receiving a 'death' sentence? Red England is a euro-soviet sewer...avoid it like the plague.
Especially after he cried on the stand!
i have one with a sword in it.
I carry a Cold Steel Irish Blackthorne which is actually a copy of the blackthorne but made of a tough unbreakable and heavy plastic.
It would be an excellent club.
A gun organization needs to do a study of “elderly gun ownership and use”, because there are a huge number of issues unique to the elderly that influence their gun ownership.
As with driving a car, some elderly can do so until the day they die, but others need to hang up their keys when their vision, hearing and other disabilities make it impractical or dangerous. Importantly, though they still have a need for what it provides.
But it goes beyond that. For example, arthritis and muscle weakness can make using a gun painful, the larger the caliber, the more painful. So the elderly might be inclined to have a gun that fires a smaller caliber.
Another situation is “sensibility”, which needs some explanation. It has been noted that many elderly people retain their faculties, but process their thoughts slower to achieve the correct answer. Others are prone to be “dazzled” by too much sensory input at once.
The list is quite long, but with an aging America, these issues will matter sooner than later.
Last night I watched a slide presentation on the WWII cemeteries and monuments in France by a little old man who was so spry that I thought he must be the son of a veteran but turned out he was actually there! It was unbelievable. He must have been in his 90s but his mobility and stamina were far better than mine.
I agree with most of that, in terms of the elderly. But the liberal reporter almost certainly was against anyone carrying firearms.
I swear I do not know what some folks keep calling NH “Red Hampshire”, its better than Virginia for the time being in my opinion and thats a southern state.
This is true. But unless a pro gun organization conducts a study like this soon, some anti gun organization will, and come up with ridiculous ideas like everyone over 50 should be disarmed, with zero legitimate reasons why.
Remember that VA bureaucrats, not doctors, have decided that over 100,000 veterans can no longer own guns, based on just whimsical reasons. I can imagine that done through Medicare against the elderly.
As for Virginia, I don't live there; so I am in no position to comment.
By the way; it’s ‘soviet Red Hampshire’. :-)
“some one needs to design a cane with a 12 GA adapted into the shaft”
A 20 GA works better. Its easier to handle and at the range the encounter usually takes place at,contact range, its lethal. I have seen them. Just don’t get caught with it.
It wouldn't be legal; however, in Florida, black powder weapons are legal. (Some wiggle room there).
“It wouldn’t be legal”
Of course not. Why do you think I included the “disclamier”
“Just dont get caught with it.”
