MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) Arthur Kemberis may be 95 years old and walks with a cane but this WWII veteran had the strength to fight off a would be robber who tried to steal his wallet.
I am not a fighter. I am too old to do that but I did lift up my cane and struck him on the shoulder, Kemberis said.
Arthur says the unexpected confrontation unfolded Saturday morning when he went to pick up his wifes prescription at Walgreens in Manchester. Police say thats when a suspect began following Arthur inside the store.
I took the money out and he saw me after I took out the amount and I pushed everything back in my wallet, Kemberis said.
Moments later outside in the parking lot the man approached Arthur and tried to grab his wallet several times but Arthur even at the age of 95 wouldnt stand for it.
He saw me coming up to strike him on the shoulders. I hit him three or four times, Kemberis said.
Kamberis wasnt hurt.
He wasnt very aggressive, but I was, Kemberis said.

some one needs to design a cane with a 12 GA adapted into the shaft
That it did!
Love your tagline, btw...
(Its the Sixties all over again, but with crappy music...)
“must see”,Yup, especially the part when the Lib NH news talker had to get in his 2cents about a gun.....
Well, it was great to that point.
They've been around for a while.
People who prey on the elderly are slime scum of the earth.
They deserve a good punishment worthy of the crime. This jackwad got off too lightly but hooray for the old man.
My thoughts too,as soon as I heard it I said “here we go,STFU”
Great links on the Shot Gun Canes.
Medicare should pay for them as a life extending item
Here’s the lone comment from the site of that last pic I posted:
“A small caliber doesn’t have to be deadly, my father carried a small .32 caliber double barrel derringer for years. One day when we were out shooting I asked why he carried the pistol, a .32 cal wouldn’t kill anybody. His response was “ Once you shoot somebody a couple of times they are a whole lot easier to whup.”...”
idiot reporter. He said it’s not a good idea for the old vet to carry a gun.
Mr. Kemberis mentioned ‘having a gun’ next time on soviet Red Hampshire news at noon, but the comment was edited out for the 5 and 6 newscasts...on a related note, Free Staters are all lubed up about ‘constitutional carry’ passing the soviet Red Hampshire legislature...they are using that as a carrot to lure MORE suckers to this increasingly-blue state...what they FAIL to mention is that the female leftist Governor Hassan has already said she is going to VETO the bill, and the override votes aren’t there. Sorry, Free Staters...
