We are going to have at least a dozen major candidates running for the GOP nomination.

Not a bad thing.

I wish this guy would just go away. He is symptomatic of everything that is wrong with national politics these days. He’s a lifelong political hack who parlayed his 12 years in the U.S. Senate into a Beltway career. These “presidential campaigns” for most of these candidates are nothing more than a cottage industry to raise money and garner face time for self-promotion.

For Jeb Bush it sure isn’t.

This field is sure to dilute the Conservative vote (convention delegates), and Bush waltzes in on Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney’s coat-tails.

Santorum was a whiny little wuss in 2012.

Please not again.

Let me guess, he’s waiting until the 27th to say he’s not running.

I supported him in 2012, and I still prefer him to almost all in the field. For me it will be between Santorum, Cruz, and Jindal (although I hope that, by South Carolina, that group will be winnowed to one).

I know that many don’t like him, but I remember those years when he was the lonely voice for social conservatives, when his current vocal cubicle critics were quiet and hiding in the corners.

I’m not making a commitment to him at this point, but I will welcome his inclusion in the field.

I think most of them will drop out within a few weeks.

There does not seem to be a ground swell of support for Santorum. Probably a couple of dozen friends, and others pushing his ego buttons to run. Can he put together a campaign in several states. I have my doubts.

It’s a terrible thing. Chaos does NOT win anything. There will be no focus, no leading. It will be minutia and infighting. Plurality will be the rule of the day. headlines will laud the new front runner ... who has 21%. And then there are the debates.

This is going to be a disaster.

Not "a bad thing," a catastrophic thing. After they take turns whacking each other, to the delight of the 'rats, the mass media will take over, knocking off the remaining few like fish in a barrel. Welcome to Hillary 2016, by default...

Too far-fetched to think Bush and Hillary have financially coaxed several to enter the race to cause trouble?

Imagine at the debates...Crowley saying, sorry Mr Cruz we just ran out of time sorry we didn’t get to you.

What the hell are these idiots thinking?

They're not thinking. They're suffering chronic and almost incurable cases of Potomac Fever. They all fantasize that they can be president.
