There are actually a few good insights in this article, even if it does come from the New Republic. The author is bringing up a lot of reservations that are echoed on liberal websites. They’re not thrilled about all the baggage Shrillary carries. They wish they had someone who was much, much cleaner and didn’t require pretzel twisting to explain away or rationalize all her unethical behavior and lack of transparency. The best they seem to muster is “everybody does it and Republicans are far worse”.
I believe their minds work that way. In order to be a RAT in high public office one must have the soul and morals of a pirate. It doesn’t work if everyone sees it.
