The policy of "everyone deserves a college education" at the expense of the tax payer is a failed one. As a society our Founders identified the necessity of a base level of reading, writing, math, and history for all citizens. They were smarter than to think everyone would want, cherish, or utilize advanced schooling. As is so frequently the case, they were smarter than the well-meaning do-gooders of today.
