“I believe in free speech, but
” ALWAYS means “I don’t believe in free speech.”

That "but" BS has a long and dishonorable history. It was used years ago against Senator McCarthy.
I approve of what he's trying to do but not the way he's doing it.Not seeking to hijack a thread but merely to point out how effective and long-term Leftist propaganda can be.

It is not a matter of whether or not you “believe” in free speech, it is the law of the land - etched in stone.

Whittle speaks for conservatives about as well as anyone out there right now. He’s right on, as always, with this piece.
For those of you who think he’s the one saying “but”, you should watch the video. He’s actually calling out the people that use this phrase.

I spent 10 years in the military, so I’m going to say what pleases ME.
As with the ol’ mountain men at Rendezvous, ‘the right to swing your fist stops one inch from my nose.’
Free speech is what comes out of your mouth, your brush, your pen, your typewriter, your keyboard, your phone.
Anything else can be interpreted as a threat, so be ready to back it up.
