Thievin’ is just in a bear’s nature, he can’t help it. There’s only one way to stop a live bear from theft- amputation.

They no longer have a right to bear arms?

All I know is that I'm getting tired of my GPS telling me "Bear Right" and I never see the bear. I guess it is far more accurate telling me when the "Bear Left".

It’s pretty clear from the video that momma is only warning the turons. Not one of them could hope to outrun her if she were to actually attack. I’ve spent years with bears. Fortunately for them, she was just creating space. Bears can catch a horse in a short run if they are so motivated.

“Mama bears will attack if you go near cubs. It’s what they do. “

Wild mama anythings will protect their young. Deer will kick the $hit out of anyone threatening their young.

,a young couple (you know the type-kerchiefs tied as sweat bands and all the other REI matched clothing)

Yes, I do know the type, run into them all the time in my rural area, always seem to have dogs with no leash and often ask where they can go to "pet" bears.

They prefer garbage here in NJ. This 500lb+ beast has been coming around the house every night. Got into my neighbor’s bear “proof” can a few weeks ago. We all use bear cans of one sort or another and they just bounce on them till the lids come off.

There’s also more bear vids on my Youtube page, including the ghost bear ;)

Years ago after WWII I had summer jobs at Crater Lake Oregon. I was the handy guy for the electricians crew. When out in the woods hanging fallen lines we often had to work in proximity to bears. One thing we never did was to give the mama bear any indication we would interfere with her scrubbing logs for insects. I/we never had to run for our lives. On another page we often saw vehicles lined along the road leading to he rim with people taking close up pictures of the bears which were wanting goodies. I remember days when I actually saw people push bears on their noses just to get a close up photo. In my memory is a case where a man camped on the rim campground with family who wanted to shoo a mama bear and cubs away from his picnic table one night. the guy scared the mama bear and cubs away but foolishly wanted a further distance. Mama bear was waiting for him and gave him a big slash across and through his WWII leather flight jacket. There was a hasty emergency to the hospital.

The shadow is the ghost?

Yeah, there's a weird shadow that moves when the tree falls. Shrug. Is what it is. If you watch the enhanced version, I used premiere to highlight the spot.

I don't know what it was. I had just noticed that the tree was down so I went back to see when it fell and noticed that weird shape moving off. Go figure. It could be a dust cloud...except we had been having soaking rains for weeks. It's just weird.
