Walker On National Security: ‘You Feel It In Your Heart And Soul’ [motorcycle tour will be a hit]
The Daily Caller ^ | May 9, 2015 | Kerry Picket

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker took shots at President Obama’s national security policies at the Citizens United Freedom Summit. Walker mentioned he was on his way to Israel to speak to Benjamin Netanyahu and others during his trip and noted how emotional he becomes when he sees reports of terrorism.

“It’s something I feel passionate about. You see people are very concerned about safety them selves and their family coworkers and their fellow citizens because of what we see around the world. Not just in the Middle Mast but now we see in other parts of the world. Even here on American soil.”

“When I watch a Jordanian pilot burned alive in a cage — when I see Christians in Egypt and else where in the world shot or beheaded just because of their faith, there’s something I feel right here,” he said. “You feel it in your heart and soul. You don’t read about it. National security is something you read about in a newspaper. Safety is something you feel.”

“You start to worry it’s not just about something else around the world. It’s something that can happen anywhere —France, Belgium, and Canada, and Texas. It can happen anywhere in the world,”..

You’re so transparent.

Come on a thread.

Bait.

Switch.

Repeat.

In my opinion, a governor does lay his life on the line protecting the citizens of the state om which he/she governs. That isn’t an easy job - sure, they aren’t armed in a battle zone, but some of the cities in their states are battle zones, and a governor has to pass policies to protect each and every person. So, this is what I am basing my opinion on. I will vote for either Cruz or Walker, and will NOT stoop to bashing either one of them. They are both well suited for the presidency.

I ask legitimate questions. You deserve the ZOT for those Anti Jew comments!
You've lost all respect and standing for any debate..

“Zot” me.

Who is your candidate, that you find it necessary to shut down debate, call a moderator to a thread?

That poster brought up Jews. I was quite taken aback by such a response to my post about Walker being in Israel upsetting him (thought he was an anti-war, isolationist like the Pauls - and have apologized to him for that error).

Oh that's just lame.

IIRC the ONLY governor that hasnt had a state police security detail in recent history was Palin after she disbanded her 6 man security detail.

And I would remind you that palin visited deployed Alaska troopers when she was running with Mclame.

I'd like to see Cruz or Walker do the same.

Please dont tell me Walker was dodging sniper fire when he was landing in Bosnia....LOL (kidding)

I opened this thread, saw you ask your question, and am wondering where your animus is coming from?

She answered you with a link to a speech to answer your question, then you acted as if you were attacked, getting very defensive and angry as if Walker was some kind of crazy nutter RINO.

I'd suggest an apology, you're not helping whoever you support, and not helping the dialog.

Hillary’s run is a forlorn, lost cause. The Dem’s only hope in the years ahead is to try to hold on to their base (and try to rebuild local and state numbers).

Maybe I am not watching CW, but I want to see their Farm-Team talent and who is going to fill the shoes of those aging dullards they have in the Senate. Right now I don't see any, as much as I disdain the E-GOP at times, at least we have a talent pool, I see bupkis from the other side..

Exactly! They have bupkis. They're resorting to rabid socialist like the Castro brothers in Texas. While the "sane" ones are trying to fix the optics by calling for their local and state party leaders to find new blood (put some talent on their bench), asking their supporters to stop looking like anti-American zealots (but it seems like that boat is going to be hard for the Left to turn around). In the meantime the voters (young and old) are looking at the pro American Republican Party favorably.

He lifted Gov Palin's "common sense conservative" phrase.

Loved it.

Absolutely, I still prefer Cruz, but don't understand why so many "Cruz bots" come onto these threads and flat out lie about who Walker is (some unintentionally out of ignorance) and what his record is.

Take the time to listen to the speech linked earlier in the thread, it's amazing.

Where in Greenville was this held? Was out during the afternoon. Heard Trump on the radio. Entertaining, to say the least.

I can read. Did I ask the wrong question?

Can't figure it out? That's OK - most of those who read it can't figure out how clever it really was.
