“maker of the PDP and VAX computers, and one of the finest mainframes (technically a mini, but everyone thinks that a PC) I’ve ever worked on.”

God, you’re old. No love for the Data Generals? You must be a Racist :)

Oh, not old at all. Just well-seasoned.

I also ran several Data Generals: MV 4000’s, 10000’s and 15000’s! Loved ‘em, too.

I loved all my old ‘frames:

Not in any order (Except Philco was my first):

Philco Ford 1000, 2000
Honeywell 66/60, 6800
CDC Cyber 174
IBM 360, 370, 4341
PDP 11/70
VAX 860, 870, 8650
DG MV 4000, 10000, 15000

I ran all of these for the United States Air Force, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Defense Communications Agency between 1976 and 1991.
