Senator and presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)argued US anti-terrorism policy should emulate Liam Neeson’s character in “Taken” during a speech in South Carolina on Saturday.

Rubio called for a Middle Eastern policy of “working with out allies to confront Iran’s ambitions to dominate the region, and by standing firmly with the only pro-American, free enterprise democracy in the Middle East, the great state of Israel.”

He added, “When people ask ‘what should our strategy be on global jihadists and terrorists?’ I refer them to the movie ‘Taken.’ Have you seen the movie ‘Taken,’ Liam Neeson? He has a line, and this is what our strategy should be, we will look for you, we will find you, and we will kill you.”

Poor Marco does not realize Liam Neeson is for gun control.

" He says of the Constitution: "It is the right to bear arms which is the problem."

To be fair, Rubio was referencing Neeson’s character in a movie. Not Neeson’s stance on any issue. Apples / oranges

I believe he was quoting what the actor said in the movie the movie, NOT what the actor’s private political belief is. Let’s quit nit picking.

Over the years I have acquired a special set of skills ... I don’t know who you are, but I am going to find you. And kill you.

And he did. That is what Rubio is referring to. “Brian” the dad in Taken, telling the Arbanian creep his intent.

Tough talk from the guy who wants to surrender the rule of law.

Some of the fraudulently documented foreigners that he wants to reward with citizenship for breaking into our country are jihadis.

Rubio showed us that he is a traitor or a fool by scheming with Schumer against the citizens.

No way if he is on the ticket.

‘Marco... Rubio’

A child’s swimming pool game? Or a failed conservative? Neither. Rubio was NEVER a conservative.

I didn’t think it would take too long before “pretty boy” would reveal his true colors.

He’s so cute! I bet all of the girls will vote for him simply because he’s cute. After all, last time it was a black politician running for president and he was voted in simply because he was black and it was his “turn.”

Now we have to have a brown president because it’s his turn.

After that, we will have a Chinese overthrow and president because he is “red.” That’s communist.

And it goes on and on and on.....the flushing of America down the sewer.

“See my comment above yours.”

In liam, I think Marco picked the perfect character for his analogy.

Someone plays like one way to get money and power, but in real life believes totally opposite/

I have not read past this comment here. Whatcha wanna bet that some FReepers will see that and, because of the way it's worded, they will jump to the conclusion that Rubio said it, when it was Liam Neeson who said it?

I still remember that line in President GW’s speech to Congress shortly after 9/11: “We will not fear. We will not falter. And, we will not fail.”

If people cannot read, then that is a problem. Pretty clear in the article who said it.
