Oh, in other words a term coined by liberal gaia worshipers, yet used now by a, I guess, conservative?

You and I think it’s easier than it probably is, but it is settled science. I agree that food and water are top of the food change when it comes to what the government should plan for.

When I say that, I also want to recognize that the government shouldn’t be providing either one.

What it should do is highlight the need and get out of the way of private enterprise and it’s ability to produce.

Well, then. thank you. Since Free Republic is all
about conservatism I am going to make a ‘WAG’ and
assume that by “screwing California” you are referring
to what liberals do everywhere they go. So, no
“Californicators” does not apply to me and, in fact,
many millions of other conservative Californians, as well.
I raise the point because IMO far too many FRiends tend
to make asinine blanket statements which appear to cover
all of us. Nice to know that you are not a part of that
crowd.

As to the efforts to split the state into California
(south) and Jefferson (north) you posed the question
at the right time for me. One of my close old college
pals is progressively involving himself in the
State of Jefferson movement. He (Mike) resides two counties
south of me in El Dorado County. This coming Tuesday the
Board of Supervisors of my county are hearing a presentation
from Jefferson proponents and my friend will be in town
to attend the program. The pro-Jefferson group has made
several county board presentations and has manage to gain
the support of 7 different county boards. This coming
Tuesday will be the first time a newly formed opposition
group (called Keep it California) will be in attendance
at a county board meeting. Both groups have promised to
keep it civil. The local board plans to take no action
but there will be a Q & A session. Both groups claim to be
non-partisan but it doesn’t take a whiz to figure out
which side is supported by GOP party members and which
side is supported by the shitbirds. The LA area alone
is represented by 11 state senators. Twenty counties in
Northern California are represented by a total of 3 state
senators. Something wrong with this picture............

Good, and good luck.

Make as many conservative Californias as you can...Each with 2 US Senators.

What it all really boils down to anywhere is; country conservatives vs city filth.

“country conservatives vs city filth”

I don’t use quite the same terminology
but I regularly assert that our dispute
has evolved into more of an rural/
suburban vs urban conflict than a state
or regional conflict. Overall California
may vote Dem’Rat but no Texas conservative
would choose Sheila Jackson Lee over my
California GOP congressional rep,
Doug LaMalfa......rural vs urban.

California used to have its share of the Colorado river that Jerry Brown gave away to other states in the 70s.
So idiot JERRY BROWN is why we have no water or have to pay through our ass for what used to already be ours.
How much did Brown take in bribes for that I wonder.
He also unionized the state government workers which has caused pensions we can never pay.
We now have an increased sales and state income tax under the Brown turd. Brown is the main reason for lots of Californian problems, but people are so forgetful or uneducated about history that they elected this same turd decades later AGAIN. We are so screwed!

The almond groves are dead because radical Greens control the California government.

And the water that used to irrigate the almond trees is now flowing into San Francisco Bay to ‘save’ the Delta smelt.

Bastardi predicted a very wet April for southern California. We wish.

The Salton Sea is the result of a Colorado River flood back around 1900. There’s no practical way to get ocean water into the Salton basin.

we haven’t built any new dams in over 40 years and we’ve been letting water flow into the ocean to protect some damn little minnow.

Long live the smelt!
