How's that second state secession deal going?
Well, then. thank you. Since Free Republic is all
about conservatism I am going to make a ‘WAG’ and
assume that by “screwing California” you are referring
to what liberals do everywhere they go. So, no
“Californicators” does not apply to me and, in fact,
many millions of other conservative Californians, as well.
I raise the point because IMO far too many FRiends tend
to make asinine blanket statements which appear to cover
all of us. Nice to know that you are not a part of that
crowd.
As to the efforts to split the state into California
(south) and Jefferson (north) you posed the question
at the right time for me. One of my close old college
pals is progressively involving himself in the
State of Jefferson movement. He (Mike) resides two counties
south of me in El Dorado County. This coming Tuesday the
Board of Supervisors of my county are hearing a presentation
from Jefferson proponents and my friend will be in town
to attend the program. The pro-Jefferson group has made
several county board presentations and has manage to gain
the support of 7 different county boards. This coming
Tuesday will be the first time a newly formed opposition
group (called Keep it California) will be in attendance
at a county board meeting. Both groups have promised to
keep it civil. The local board plans to take no action
but there will be a Q & A session. Both groups claim to be
non-partisan but it doesn’t take a whiz to figure out
which side is supported by GOP party members and which
side is supported by the shitbirds. The LA area alone
is represented by 11 state senators. Twenty counties in
Northern California are represented by a total of 3 state
senators. Something wrong with this picture............
