I would like both to be impossible
As a legal immigrant I consider myself duly chastised.
Although some 100+ Americans would have had to look elsewhere for jobs.
As my grandfather used to say, don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back.
But in reality my comment was about a) the need for a long-overdue moratorium due to sheer overwhelming numbers, especially of immediate and future dole scroungers and b) the fact that the legal immigration system is being corrupted to accommodate the illegal.
There’s a perfectly good reason that plumbers shut the water main off before attempting any repairs elsewhere in the house. As long as the flood of immigrants continues, especially from the South, no progress is possible.
