While I disagree with you slightly on how the mother handled the situation, I applaud you for attempting to make a point with conservatives regarding those with special needs. For a pro-life group, some conservatives can be very cruel regarding those that God knit together uniquely. Somebody on the thread even referred to the girl as defective. Not pro-life at all! Most Christians recognize that babies are sometimes born with illnesses, problems, flaws, or limitations. It's a fallen world, you know. I don't know why you would blame that on God.
