How is it that under Eisenhower in the Fifties, it wasn’t impractical to deport illegals in “Operation Wetback”, but in 2015, with advanced technology and more oversight of all people, it’s considered impractical?

“but in 2015, with advanced technology and more oversight of all people, it’s considered impractical?”

Because impracticality is a BS excuse. Which is what you meant, of course.

My plan: All assets of border-crashers are forfeit. Give them two weeks to self-deport. Following this, border-crashers will be rounded up, flogged, branded on the cheek, and walked back to Mexico under the guard of mounted men with shotguns.

Rations will be beans and tortillas. They will manicure the roadsides down which they walk.

Truman started the deportations — & we all know he was a Democrat. Eisenhower continued them.
