I see this being used to attack churches. That is a much of what gay marriage is about. Many churches have cut flower arrangements at their worship services, and don’t forget funerals.

You can laugh all you want to, but eventually, these people will get their way. Let’s look at it with different eyes. Just 10 years ago, even the most rabid politicians on both sides of the aisle were all for “MARRIAGE WAS RESERVED FOR ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN”. What made them change their minds? Just a few years ago, most politicians were for “PROTECTING OUR BORDERS”, and against what’s happening in our borders. What made them, all of a sudden, make them change their minds? So, if you don’t watch out, withing 10 years, there will be a drive to eliminate giving flowers for any reason, including MOTHER’S DAY. These liberals, socialists and communists are never satisfied with the status quo. They are out to change every thing we hold dear, so that they’ll be the one to say what is okay and what is not okay.
Does this woman understand that every grain, every fruit, every vegetable is the reproductive organ of a plant?
A very enviro-hip place in my neighborhood has been cutting the cherry blossom branches in the park and on the Broadway mall and sticking them in a vase. That really damages the tree and is much worse than setting out a few cut flowers. The tree has to grow a whole new branch. Don’t they realize that?
I grew up in cherry blossom territory (Newark, not DC), so I know this. Thought of telling them but I can’t bear to.

the commies are against flowers because..
1. its Mothers’ Day and Mothers get a lot of flowers and the commies hate mothers and families
and
2. some flower companies sponsor talk radio (and nobody ever listens to any commie talk programs so you know what this means? coming out against flowers is a way to attack ‘conservative’ talk show hosts)
3. funny thing is, flowers were once-upon=a-time considered a good thing by the extreme left.... (times do change somewhat, don’t they?)....as in what was just about the Ahthem of the Left:
