Now that's good. :)

Because four more years to the left of obama is better than four years of obama light? Right on! That’s the thinking that got us here.

If you make the poison palatable, people will drink it until they reach a fatal dose. If you make it toxic and horrible, they will throw it up.

Jeb Bush will make evil policy tolerable. Hillary will just give us full throttle evil, and it might wake people up, and thereby save us.

"Jeb Bush rejects the popular notion that his support for a path to legal status for some undocumented immigrants is a surefire way to doom his shot at being the GOP presidential nominee."

Liberals have a certain power. It's the power to stun normal people into total speechlessness, with their idiocy, their shameless lack of knowledge, and their breathtaking absence of mental acuity to process simple data.

Sorta like Jeb Bush.

You've just got to ask yourself where this guy's been over the last twenty five years. I simply can't picture a man in his position being so insulated from the woof and warp of our society to such a degree that, even as he runs for the highest office in the land, he remains painfully ignorant as to which way the wind is blowing on the hottest issue in the land.

I don't believe I've ever seen a presidential hopeful this far out of touch with reality.

Jeb Bush says Republican voters are open-minded on immigration issues

All real Republicans...love open borders! You've heard of Doctors without Borders. Real Republicans want Country without Borders! If you're on the fence on this, if you even know the definition of fence, you are just waiting to be persuaded.

Real Republicans love such things...and Common Core much more than the peel.

Oh, yes! Let us not forget the way man is despoiling the planet causing uncontrolled warming. Jeb has explained it's settled science and a bad thing...but fixable.

Heck, there are any number of things near and dear to Democrats that Jeb can persuade Republicans to climb aboard. We just need to be open minded as he knows we are.

A one sentence post has got to be an all time record for you. I’m inclined to ask if you’re alright.

blood pressure

I understand completely. I read down to about post 22, and have to leave the thread because of the same thing. I don't think there's another issue that gets my blood boiling as much as this one.

Jeb Bush is a Bush. Enough said as far as I am concerned. Don’t forget Bill Clinton is also a Bush by mama’s proxy declaration.

Your position is the one that many of us took before, and I see that you prefer the bitter poison, that will teach us all right? I prefer that if I must choose a poison, it be one that just makes me sick instead of killing me.

You go right ahead and help make a hitlary presidency possible. I'm pretty damn sure that Jeb won't make it to the finals, but even if he does there is still some question about some of the things he would do, there is no question whatsoever about hitlary. You go right ahead and moralize about poisons, one trip down that road was enough for me.

If Jeb is the nominee, we need poison.

I have attained a certain age at which it is permissible if not desirable to pretend to a degree of wisdom concerning the world and even concerning oneself. My considered reactions desert me to be involuntarily displaced by a visceral cry of frustration and even despair over the general apathy concerning our immigration threat.

A part of wisdom concerning oneself is to understand that fear translates into anger and I must confess a degree of fear for the country which manifests in blood pressure when I contemplate the threat to every institution our culture has produced, a culture and an experiment in representative democracy which has so benefited us and much of the world. I have children and grandchildren and might even live to see great-grandchildren but it is perhaps only a function of advancing age to fear the world which they will inherit-or perhaps it is a part of wisdom.

I guess that's longer than one sentence.:-)

“How could Nixon have won? Nobody I know voted for him.”

“How can the GOP oppose immigration? Nobody I knows does.”

Sure we are; CLOSE THE BOARDER, DEPORT EVERY ILLEGAL IN THE COUNTRY REGARDLESS OF AGE, SECURE THE BOARDER (I mean no, zero illegal crossings), BUILD A WALL, WATER BARRIER, OR MINE THE BOARDER. When you have proven to our satisfaction that these measures have been implemented, as well as or better than the IRON CURTAIN then we can talk about immigration.
Until then you are just another open boarders LIAR.
YOU LIE, YOUR BROTHER LIED, OBASTARD LIED, CLINTON LIED, THE SHEBEAST CLINTON LIES, BONER LIES ( no; it is not a misspelling, he’s been boning us for years), McCONNEL LIES. All of you DC pukes lie for profit and pleasure, mostly for profit and pleasure.

Jeb is hanging out with his brother Dubya and a houseful of businessmen from Mexico City when Jeb asks, in Spanish:

“Does anyone here have a problem with illegal immigration? Or amnesty? Shouldn’t the border be completely wide open?”

No one says “No”. Everyone agrees that a wide open American border combined with amnesty is just peachy keen.

Everyone shouts “Viva Boosh!” and pledges a billion pesos to the Jeb Bush Por El Jefe campaign.

It brings tears of happiness to my eyes. Or rage. Those could be tears of rage.

If they put up Jeb, vote for the Democrat. Make it an atom bomb slam! They need to get their fingers burned so hard, they pull back stumps!
That's stupid. That's beyond stupid. That will encourage the GOP to force upon us candidates even more to the left.

Either vote third-party, if one of those candidates suits your requirements, or write in who you really support. If Jeb gets the nomination, I will (for the first time in my life) vote for someone other than the Republican candidate. I will write in Ted Cruz.

Imagine the signal we would send if so many write-in ballots were cast that neither "major" candidate even got close to 50%. Even better (I know I'm dreaming now), imagine if Jeb came in third behind "None of the above". That would send a signal.

In the meantime, work hard to make sure Jeb isn't the candidate. That would be the best message of all.
