Savor the irony:
1. The Romans had conquered most of the known world, and took men from each place and either tortured/imprisoned them, or stuck them in the army.
2. Italy did not become a unified nation until the latter portion of the 18th century.
3. The largest single lynching in the US took place in New Orleans, in 1891. 11 Italians were hung by an angry mob. Hung by the neck, not crucified as Jesus was.
4. He has quite an impressive résumé, including work as a physician in our Military. You would think he would love this country; have some tact, and know a little about history.
