Jeb Bush’s Iraq quagmire is just getting started
Washington Post ^ | 5/12/15 | Paul Waldman

Last night Fox News aired an interview in which Jeb Bush was asked the question about Iraq that every major politician should have answered by now. Somehow it seemed to catch Bush less than completely prepared. His answer generated the expected attacks from Democrats, but even some Republicans were critical. GOP consultant Ana Navarro now says Bush confided to her that he “misheard the question,” which suggests he’ll be clarifying what he really thinks soon.

This was bound to come up before long. The way it’s now playing suggests that Bush — along with many other Republicans — can’t quite figure out how to answer a question that for most people is pretty straightforward.

Jebster is this cycle’s designated loser.
The RNC/GOP will do whatever it takes to ensure we cannot elect anyone who would stop the invasion/cheap labor importation/colonization. It’s definitely not immigration.

Oh oh. Somebody at the Compost is gong to get into trouble over this! As an unofficial organ of the RAT party , the policy is that the designated Republican loser must be torn down only AFTER his nomination!

Exactly. The liberals were supposed to hold their fire until AFTER Jeb was nominated.

The time has passed in which Jeb Bush could credibly serve as President. He is “designated loser” in the run-up to coronation of Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, or should Herself stumble, for whatever reason, the substitute sent in to continue the third term of the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut.

Jeb may be honorable, and all that, but his fate was sealed when Dubya became the President in 2001, and we were exposed to the agenda that would ENSURE power-sharing with liberal Democrats.

No more. Negotiation with liberal Democrats, but not just preemptive surrender right off the bat. Dubya would simply accept anything the liberal Democrats (read Ted Kennedy) sent over, and issued not one veto to what turned out to be very bad legislation.

Even if, through some now inconceivable set of circumstances, Jeb should be nominated and somehow wrest a win in the Presidential sweepstakes, he could not or would not take any steps to reverse the mischief already rendered upon the territory once known as “the United States of America”, by the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut. Being the technocrat he is, Jeb would try to “fix” everything, not dismantle the wholly unworkable framework now in existence.

The Post should certainly be boosting Bush in this phase. Knocking him out before the primaries would give a boost to the real boogeymen of their nightmares over there. He is the Democrat designee for Republican nomination because he will not campaign seriously for the actual election and will be “defeated” by whoever the Democrats come up with. And should he actually win due to the Democrat Nominee being a victim of Sudden Onset Alzheimer’s Disease and drooling at the podium in September it will be no ideological loss and only a short term organizational loss.
