We definitely do not want this Marxist bastard to have any additional power.

I think we need to wait until Obama is gone before making ANY deals with ANYBODY. The fact that the GOPE is FOR this only means that their slave masters down at the USSA Chamber of Communists are threatening to cut off their campaign donations.

Exactly. People need to use their common sense, if this regime and the gopE are adamantly for something, then by definition it is NOT good for America.

I will go with what Senator Jeff Sessions has to say on this: Sen. Jeff Sessions: Top Five Concerns With Trade Promotion Authority

Well worth reading, Senator Sessions speaks truthfully, as he always does.

Part of the discussion at the link I just posted goes to the Montana ‘Dark Money Bill’ just passed: “The TPP will be the law of the planet and God help us because the purge will begin. What purge you ask? The purge we are seeing in places like Montana in which Montana just settled the question on which way this will be going as they passed a law that identifies Christians as targets. Montana’s Disclose Act SB289 nicknamed “the “Dark Money Bill” and it is also called the “Conservative Christian Identification Act” provides a clear indication where this is going. This law mandates that if a particular church takes a stand on political issues (e.g. abortion, gay marriage), every churchgoer who gives contributions to the church will be listed on a political database “list” and their addresses will published for all to see.”

Hey, if Obama is for it, I’m against it! Shot sided, I know. But, how many horrible paths has this SOB taken us down?

I’m against anything that increases Obama’s power and the ability to negotiate trade deals on behalf of the US definitely hands him more power. I’m pretty much against any Republican that supports handing Obama more power as well. I’m agreeing with Ed Shultz on this one issue as a matter of fact and I don’t remember ever agreeing with him.

Ole Bitchy McConnell wants to play by Marquess of Queensberry Rules. He thinks playing nice with the Rats will gain him political points with the Press and allow the RepubliRATS to remain in Majority in 16.

You’ld think if he really wanted to win a few he would have realized now you don’t negotiate with Terrorist. Especially when they sit on the other side of the Senate Chamber. The press is gonna cruxify him come 16 no mater what.

But alas, Mitch doesn’t care about anything other than Mitch’s over seas accounts and the power to destroy little people.

I suspicious of anything backed by McConnell. He’s not to be trusted.

If Obama is for it, its probably bad for the country. The Republicans don’t care; they will sell us out in a New York minute. They only want what’s good for big business and the Chamber of Commerce.

It would be nice if the GOP fought this hard against Obama.

Opens markets for our goods; the expensive dollar however, is making it harder for us to tell those “durable goods” that our manufacturing industry creates.

As of today, a Toyota will cost on average $3,000 less to manufacture than a Ford due strictly to the imbalance between currencies. With Japan’s reserve bank artificially keeping their Yuan low, the bill actually puts American manufacturers in a shitty situation as long as the dollar remains strong against the Yuan.

“TPP’s international tribunal to be above US law....”

I agree with one aspect of what your linked article states; that ‘they’ do not want to have any national borders anymore. Too many ranking government officials have ‘accidentally’ stated such while being recorded. However, in order for what your article states to come to pass it seems there would already have to be a ruling authority in place to take over during the transition. Not only that, but the new authority would need the means to enforce their new rule. I suppose that productive rural communities could have the fruits of their labor confiscated for ‘the greater good’ by an enforcement arm who would do such to ensure that they themselves, and their loved ones, will still be cared for. Of course, like the article suggests, some sort of catalyst would be needed to implement the transition... Take your pick: water shortage, race riots, economic collapse, and others.

What really stinks about this TPP is all the secrecy surrounding it. That, and the fact that if the GOPe and Obama are for it, then such absolutely cannot be good for us, or the nation as a whole. (I can’t believe that I just used “GOPe and Obama” together!)

Ok, I’m removing my tinfoil hat now.....

Instead of flailing in the memebuilding and hysteria, here is the actual leak, from the actual source, instead of the increasingly shrill and decreasingly credible non-coverage available and repeatedly regurgitated online:

I don’t have time to carefully read and fully digest the financial analysis right now so I will continue to wallow in my pool of ignorance and cling to my preconceived prejudices .

Having said that, at first blush it looks to me like a something whipped up by Wall Street to continue to perpetually internationalize U.S. debt, while making it easier to for foreign nations to gain direct ownership of American assets. And that would primarily benefit the United States, so long as China is kept out of the arrangement as it is now.

However, once China is allowed to be a signatory, we become marginalized like the late Ottoman Empire.

That’s my initial take. And I strongly suspect there are other “surprises” in this bill that don’t have anything to do with the financial analysis.

I know, its a stretch.

The Unions are against this bill. That makes it pretty automatic that the Dems will be against it also.

But, as has been noticed and noted: Many Freepers are against it as well.

This confirms to me that we are actually living in The Twilight Zone.

Personally I'm going to stick with Ted Cruz and follow his lead. Supporting Unions an Dems is just not my thing.

Marj levine says it also has a chapter on immigration that is secret.

We’ve seen what happens when a piece of legislation comes up with no public transparency (Obamacare)>

I called my Rep, a very conservative congressman and from the attitude of his legislative aide it was clear to me that he wanted to change my view. I told him I just wanted to express my opinion that the Congressman shuld never vote for any secret treaty or legislation AT ALL.

Everyone call them and let the morons know not to vote on something that is presented as secret, even from most of them.
