I would like to see a scientific study done on the correlation between scientists receiving government grant money and coming up with a finding showing Global Warming.

I,too would be interested in such a study although I’m pretty sure what it will show if it is done truthfully. Only makes sense because such scientific notables as the Pope & Barack Obama are pushing the global warming theory.

The "record" goes back only about 150 years, and accurately for only about 40.
Relying on such a short time period to define the norm, is like making your retirement investment determination based only on GM's price over the last 5 seconds.

Generally even in the behavioral sciences, which have a very lax standard, one doesn’t make assertions unless there is (on the basis of the statistical tests one is using) a 95% chance they are true. Usually the hard sciences demand even tougher standards.

RE: “As a result, GISSs director Gavin Schmidt has now admitted Nasa thinks the likelihood that 2014 was the warmest year since 1880 is just 38 per cent. However, when asked by this newspaper whether he regretted that the news release did not mention this, he did not respond. - See more at”
I am in a big argument about this - is there a transcript somewhere that I can use.
