Fox News Poll: Huckabee seen as more ethical than most, Clinton less
Fox News ^ | 05/14/2015 | Dana Blanton

Hillary Clinton wins! Except this is one race she’d rather lose. The former secretary of state and current presidential aspirant tops the list as being “less ethical” than other politicians.

GOP candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is on top as being “more ethical” than others.

That’s according to the latest Fox News poll that asks voters to rate several announced and unannounced 2016 contenders as being more or less ethical than “most other politicians.”

Some 44 percent of voters think Clinton is less ethical than the typical politician. She’s followed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 37 percent “less ethical.”

On the other side, Huckabee (36 percent “more ethical”) and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (33 percent “more ethical”) are each considered more ethical than the average politician by about one third of voters.

The poll also finds that more than a third of voters (37 percent) are “very” concerned scandals would disrupt a Hillary Clinton administration if she were to win. That’s about twice as many as feel that way if a Republican were to win the White House (19 percent).

Still, more than half are at least somewhat worried scandals would have a “serious effect” on either a Clinton (61 percent) or a Republican administration (51 percent).

Just over half of voters are following news about the Clinton Foundation accepting financial donations from foreign governments while Clinton was secretary of state. Among only those following the news, 74 percent are worried about scandals if Clinton wins.

Overall, a 57 percent majority says it is likely Clinton was influenced by foreign contributors while she was at the State Department.

To be clear, I haven’t endorsed Lindsey Graham for Senate,” Huckabee, a former presidential candidate, said in a statement on his PAC’s website. “Last year, I voiced an ad thanking him for support of Israel. It was not an endorsement for his reelection. In fact, I don’t plan to endorse anyone in [the South Carolina] Senate race in the primary but I will certainly help in the general election if asked.”

He got caught endorsing Lindsey, and then tried to “beep beep beep” back up his way out of it.

Funny your defense of Huck is to believe a post facto lie he told.

But again, the only one I said was totally indefensible is Cochran. Forget LG, I’ll give him a semi pass on that one - but Cochran is inexcusable for anyone who claims to be Christian and Godly.

I agree that the 'evangelical vote' tossed him out before it ever began ... Dobson said of Thompson. "[But] I don't think he's a Christian ... thus giving us McQeeg (what kind of Christian is he?) because Fred Thompson didn't pander as if he was running for the Pastor of U.S.

And I agree that he ran a lackluster and disorganized campaign.

He was still the best candidate hands down in 2008.

Back to 2016 ... the Huckster doesn't hold a candle to Cruz, Walker, Rubio, ...

Hillary Clinton, unethical? How could anyone say such a thing? And not end up in the East River with a concrete block chained to their ankle, that is...

That is just like his post-facto lie about this one (pandering to the single issue likely lesser informed social conservatives) ....

Mike Huckabee laughably denies that he had no idea that the (invisible) bookshelf in his ad looked like a cross

How dare you call out my televangelistic Christian pandering! This is not a cross!

Thompson was, and even Romney, in 2008, was more conservative OVER ALL issues than Huckster.

(then Mitt moved left in 2011-12, bad bad move...but that’s another discussion. No one here is defending Mitt.)

Well I can't find what Huckabee said about Cochran. Got a link?

The only thing I've found so far, is where Huckabee said both candidates need to get back to the issues.

Huckabee - Cochran

Bottom line is that with the GOP also endorsing Cochran, the benefit of the doubt goes to Huckabee.

Any candidate with balls big enough to run with a cross in the background is automatically going to score points with me.

The question isn’t why Huckabee had a cross, it’s why all the other candidates don’t.

No, it does not. That's a preposterously absurd statement....especially in support of a man you clearly think is worthy of the office of National Pastor. Huckaphony has been the one thumping his Bible....he's the one who set up a higher standard for himself, and he clearly cannot meet that standard.

"Thompson was, and even Romney, in 2008, was more conservative OVER ALL issues than Huckster."

Romney? ROFLMAO. If you had any credibility you just lost it with that statement.

You know Danny, if you walked your faith out a bit better, maybe you wouldn’t require government to ram it down others throats.

personally, I don’t need a national pastor or intrusive government to walk out my faith.

I know this is going to come as a shock to you Pastor Danny, but there are issues that are NOT the social issues. Huck was more conservative, and more trustworthy on those issues, than Mitt.

But in every other issue, Mitt was more conservative and had more credibility....that’s why I said OVERALL.

That’s the fear isn’t it? Huckabee has religion and that scares the piss out of you, doesn’t it?

Thank you Danny Pharisee for walking RIGHT INTO MY TRAP. Jesus was more angry at the "religious" types than any other. Organized religion is corrupt and watered down. You're right, I'm not religious. I am, however, a follower of Jesus, who was the most anti organized religion figure in world history.

Being the weak self righteous pharisee who can't walk it out without a national pastor thumping thumping thumping all the day long, you ignorantly assumed that because I was anti Huck, I was not Christian. Shame on you. And just bless your little legalistic hateful heart.

Mitt was much bigger tax and spend Huckabee. He raised taxes and fees more than Huckabee.

Heck Mitt wrote Obamacare and has practically bankrupted Mass.

No, liberal Mitt doesn’t even come close to Huckabee in fiscal conservatism. And the difference couldn’t be starker on social conservative issues.

I didn’t say you weren’t Christian. I said you feared Huck because he is openly Christian.

You can’t compare Massachusetts to Arkansas - and be intellectually honest. Oh, wait....that explains it.
