Live forever in Oregon. Next they’ll pass a law making it illegal to die.

The biggest cause of suicide in Oregon is living in Oregon.

The reason why suicide is against the law is because it’s destruction of government property.
To: SkyDancer
Doesn’t Oregon have euthanasia/assisted suicide friendly laws?

IIRC, one of my favorite ironic things is that in England during the 1500’s or so, suicide was a criminal act punishable by hanging.

They will just redefine the meaning of “Suicide”.
It’s the liberal way.
Suicides will be reclassified as “Persons Exercising Their Early Withdrawal Option”.
Voila! Zero suicides.

They just have to re-define the terms.

Why not have a special outreach to those who are thinking of requesting a lethal prescription? So, what's their moonbat position on capital punishment?

“The biggest cause of suicide in Oregon is living in Oregon.”
Exactly. And people don’t understand one of the factors why living in the Pac NW makes for a suicide-inducing environment. It’s the damn damp and rainy weather.

Dude, I live in High desert eastern Washington.
Weather just like SoCal, for the most part.

Huh? I’m from BC and went to WSU for my freshman year before Stanford. The weather’s the same regardless of the border.

I live in Yakima, 270 sunny days a year and little rainfall compared to Seattle or Portland.

This thread is pathetic. Part of me wonders what happened to State’s Rights on FR; part of me cares not.
A majority of non-democrats in this State voted for the right and liberal bureaucrats said ‘no’, setting up a very, very long fight.
The abject hypocrisy of the ‘religious right’ over this very personal, yet polarizing, topic and the damage inflicted on Conservative unity will persist until so-called ‘Christians’ cease practicing tactics employed by islamists & liberals: Forcing beliefs on others.

Well, you COULD lock the mentally ill up and force them to take their meds, thereby preventing a few more suicides and homicides when they decide to take others out with them.
But that would be MEAN. It’s more kind and gentle to let them run loose, live on the streets, babble to themselves, panhandle, die under a bridge or get knifed by another crazy person, etc.
