Crap! Just walked out the back door and there was a huge black snake crawling along the side of the house! I think it was just a rat snake, but it scared a piss out of me anyway.

Probably just a Rat or Northern Black Racer; both harmless. But if they’re big enough, they can sure startle. Bet your yard is chipmunk and mouse free.
