While I don't like the direction Palin has taken since 2008, I would still substitute her in place of most of the GOP leadership.

That said, I'm about done with the GOP. Amnesty kabuki theater followed by full funding was about the last straw.

I can respect that. I think Palin is sharp enough to know her strength for the cause does not lie in pursuit of office.

I think she has leveraged that strength remarkably well.
