Chicago has become the promised land for undocumented migrants with kidney problems, people who in other states receive no medical care due to their immigration status although here they can get free dialysis and kidney transplants.
The Illinois legislature last October passed a law that provides funds for kidney transplants for undocumented migrants, the first such legislation in the United States.
Religious and community organizations such as Latinos por la Salud and the Mision de Vida, Fe y Esperanza have received requests for help from people arriving from the neighboring states of Wisconsin and Minnesota, while others have traveled much farther, coming from Georgia, New York, Washington and Texas.
One of the people who has come to Chicago is Salvadoran immigrant Marta Lidia Moran Rosales, 23.
Single and without any family in New York, where she was receiving dialysis treatment three times a week, she called Chicago hospitals and learned that they were treating people without medical insurance and without having their immigration papers in order.

There was a hospital in the Tampa area that had a comatose illegal alien on life support. He consumed the biggest portion of their budget. The family sued and the courts insisted that he remain in the hospital’s care. This was about 10 years ago. The hospital argued that caring for this technically dead alien had cost several American lives. I don’t know how it ended or even if it has ended. But we need laws to protect Americans who are paying the bills.
The shareholders will love that. Why do I think that Texas and the rest of the South will be in for a flood of new businesses?
The problem is that Democrats will follow. Only answer is to set up a station on the Red River bridge on I-35. Ask each Illinois car driver if they voted for Obama. If they did, dump the bodies in the river. Believe me, it will save lives in the long term.
This is why I don’t have the donor mark on my drivers license. I would only sign if my family had the right to OK the recipient. They would never agree to that so I think my innards will go into the ground with the rest of me.

This is evidence of absolutely hating your fellow U. S. Citizens. Why should illegals get their kidney transplants fully funded, and U. S. Citizens have to fend for themselves?

I know of a case where an indigent refused to leave a hospital and he remained in the place for between six months and a year. I believe it was close to a year.
He somehow prevented the hospital from discharging him, probably because he was in indigent. Probably plead no place to go.
I do know he had family. They were bringing in suitcases and stealing anything not nailed down.
His bill was in excess of half a million dollars, and he wasn’t paying a dime of it.

Citizens with end stage kidney disease get Medicare, regardless of age. I believe it’s the only disease treated that way.
The kicker is if you get a transplant, you no longer qualify for Medicare, but still require expensive treatment.
Jay-sus! If you have bad health, how do you get Guatemalan citizenship so you can sneak back into America for free healthcare?

I’m sure the doctors are donating their time and skills and the hospitals are donating their facilities. Free, yea, right.
