If you’re below the Obamacare threshold, you go into Medicaid.
Beats being uninsured.
Uninsured? Medicaid is medical welfare.
I was getting my care through the Church. I got physical and spiritual care. Now everything is scan this and xray that, take these pills and be on your way. There’s more to wellness than the quantity of days you’re alive.
“If youre below the Obamacare threshold, you go into Medicaid.
Beats being uninsured.”
Easy for you to say when your not paying the bill.
From an economic point of view there is no such thing as a sustainable system where the buyer has no incentive to control what they buy by way of price.
Health insurance by introducing a 3rd party payer into the system removing such an incentive will only drive the cost of theses services up until such point that the 3rd party and thus indirectly you become bankrupted or mismanaged by the 3rd party trying to control costs without control or knowledge of need.
So no it does not beat being uninsured. Being uninsured is the only way you can maintain a healthy and competitive healthcare market. The fewer people who are uninsured the few market forces there are to keep prices down and services competitive.
