On Thursday, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey was asked about Ramadi’s imminent fall. “The city itself is — it’s not symbolic in any way. It’s not been declared, you know, part of the caliphate, on the one hand, or central to the future of Iraq. But we want to get it back. I mean, the issue here is not — is not brick and mortar. It’s about defeating ISIL. So, as I said, this — I — you know, I would much rather that Ramadi not fall, but it won’t be the end of the campaign should it fall. We got to get it back. And that’s tragic for the people, as have — as we’ve seen along the way,” Dempsey told reporters at the Pentagon.

I’m guessing that in a conversation with Obama, Dempsey and Obama would be intellectual equals.
Yeah, maybe they should because they can include Israel when they (Obama) say, "ISIL". There has never been a world leader in my lifetime with such a hatred of Israel like Obama. Carter was close, but this guy takes the cake.
Personally I believe Hillary funded the creation of ISIS with the intent Obama wouldn’t be reelected and the republican president would then have to deal with ISIS.
Hillary could then run against the repub in 2016 on how the dems got us out of Iraq and the repubs got us back in.
Elect Hillary and she would get us out of Iraq again.

ISIS was originally “The Iraqi State in Syria” - because it was formed from the Sunni remnants of AlQaeda and Saddam’ brutal army driven out of Iraq and into Syria by the American led New Iraq army - using ISIS comes too close to reminding the world that Obama’s withdrawing our troops and influence from Iraq is what allowed the resurgence of that group////..
Put it in the category of "workplace violence"...When the bad guys start taking real estate, the act itself is significant and symbolic.

I’m aware of his attentions,(thank you,FR), but I doubt that many people are. Obama’s petty little appellation is meaningless.

Obama’s people are just showing their ignorance since the borders of The Levant are fluid and used to include Turkey and Greece.
