Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker met with about 100 House Republicans on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, engaging in a wide ranging discussion that hit on everything from foreign policy to why Walker doesn't have a college degree, according to those in the room

Members who spoke to NBC News after the meeting gave Walker overwhelmingly positive reviews. A common refrain from members was Walker's ease at conversing with them, which they felt would play well in a grassroots campaign and eventually with swing voters.

I guess Gov. Scott Walker did drool or scratch himself, wore shoes and used his manners.

......“He’s very impressive,” Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) said after meeting Walker at the National Republican Club event attended by about 80 House Republicans.

“It’s hard to be down-home and sophisticated at the same time, but clearly that’s what he is,” Rohrabacher said. “I’ll wait and see what the deal is, but I’m certainly inclined to lean in his direction now.”........

I’d vote for Walker if he gets the nomination (though Cruz is who I really want) but stuff like this just starts to make my flesh creep a little for some reason. Kissing Rino’s is not what we need.

All the candidates will be meeting with as many voters and politicians as they can.

Who said he was kissing anything?

Sounds more like an inquisition.

Of course Mitt Walker’s admission after repeated questioning that he is for extending the Patriot act en toto including bulk phone data collection will cement his approval with the GOPe as their default candidate after Jeb fails.

http://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2015/05/19/capitol-hill-buzz-house-republicans-quiz-scott-walker

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans wanted to know what Scott Walker tells voters about a would-be president who lacks a college degree. So they asked the GOP Wisconsin governor about it Tuesday, and they say he passed the quiz with flying colors.

Walker met privately at Republican Party headquarters with dozens of GOP lawmakers. Fellow Republican Wisconsinite Rep. Paul Ryan, among those who sponsored the gathering, said Walker hadn’t met most of them before and wanted to “kick the tires.”...

I like Scott Walker a great deal. He is my second choice.

Cruz is my first choice because Cruz has the desire, the intellect and the iron will to do what must be done. I suspect Walker would fail in some regard along those lines. Now is the time for bold action.

"The Wisconsin governor just returned from a five-day trip to Israel, where he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials in the region.

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) said Walker adequately expressed how a visit to the country can be “life-changing.” He said that Walker “indicated that all factions he met with in Israel felt like it was utterly irresponsible” for the Obama administration to negotiate with Iran over its nuclear program."

Walker is still my second choice, behind Cruz, but at least he’s on my list.

If Rubio, Jeb, or Christie gets the nomination, I’ll be voting third party or writing in Palin/Cruz. Under no circumstances will I vote for someone who supports Amnesty. Criminal behavior should not be rewarded by government policy. Ever.

Here’s what Hardens Hollow wrote today regarding another article - so I’m not the only one with “inquisition issues”.

“The guy will not take a position unless you pin him to the ground ...”
That bothers me, a lot. We’ve been stabbed in the back so often by pretend conservatives that I am skeptical of any politician. but when they won’t even tell us their stance on issues or flip 3 times, as Walker has done on amnesty, the latest being recently perhaps because it was politically expedient, my BS meter gets pegged.

Notice who Walker’s been fighting, who’s complaining (I’m not talking about supporters of other GOP candidates).

It’s called beating the Left at their own game, not leading with your chin, using strategery, holding your cards until you’re ready to play them, poker face, etc. etc.

If you look at Walker’s record and the direction he keeps moving, that when he is in the position to do something that takes a pound of flesh out of the Left, he does it.

SLICE!

SHOULD Read:

I guess I’m just tired of Republicans faking right and then reaching across the aisle, lying to those who vote for them, etc., etc.

If Walker is faking “moderate” only to run right after getting elected, we’ll yes, that would be great. Like I said, I’d vote for him, but I personally want someone that seems to have a little more fight in them. Walker did a great job in his state but Cruz did a great job in the Senate where there is national pressure. He has stood alone. He’s smart and can claim the same credentials as the left elites and he’s fast on his feet when the media attacks - in short I just see him as the better man. He clearly champions conservative ideas and communicates why there are better. Vote for who you want. I’ll do the same. Hopefully one of them will defeat Hillary. But if a Republican even gets elected he better prepare to be crucified. It will be all out war 24/7.
