Bernie Sanders, the Democratic presidential candidate and self-proclaimed socialist who wants the United States to morph into a vast Scandinavia, is holding a Tuesday press conference to explain how he will soak the rich to make tuition at public, four-year colleges and universities free.

Sanders will propose legislation to fund his free-college scheme with massive new taxes on stock transactions, Bloomberg reports.

The Vermont senator’s bill, if passed, would add a 50-cent tax for every “$100 of stock trades on stock sales, and lesser amounts on transactions involving bonds, derivatives, and other financial instruments,” according to a press release

That would maybe limit stock transactions to Funds? If he extends it to include funds then the Stock Market pretty much stops. All the money comes out before the new law goes into effect.

Very true.

One of the driving factors in the explosion of college tuition costs over the last few decades has been explosive spending by colleges/universities enabled by easy tuition money from government grants, government-backed loans, etc.

So what part of Bernie’s plan involves restraining even more runaway spending by colleges universities when they get to dip their ladles into this particular pot of gold?

It will draw no less than 73% approval in polls.

And eventually it will become law. With plenty of Republicans voting yea.

Hey, this could actually work. The most efficient way to reduce the cost of the colleges is to take all of those profs who earn a quarter of a million dolars teaching one course to take a pay cut to $55K, plus they have to pay a royalty on any incomes they make due to their positions (writers) or facilities, equipment and assistant perks (inventiions, medicines). That will apply to any school that takes one dime of federalk help (Hillsdale, Christendom and Grove City are exempt). State schools should be encouraged to use extra resources in DMV and DEP to carry the administartion load, so that college admins can be dumped.

By all means, follow Obama’s destruction of the middle class with a shut-down of Wall Street.

Hey, here’s a thought: why don’t we see if we can simply eliminate the American economy all together...

Certainly the environmentalists will thank you when we’re all once again living in caves, using sticks to dig for edible tubers, and sitting by puny fires at night scratching for lice.

Again, another lying, ignorant, Big Government, political elite, thieving libtard twists the story of Robin Hood.
Yo Bernie, Robin Hood stole the loot confiscated by Big Government with confiscatory taxation and returned to those to whom it belonged, you obnoxious dumbass.

Here’s Bernie Sanders taking about abusing women being ‘hot’... in his own words...

Think how the New York Times, MSNBC, George Stephanopoulos, The Washington Post and Hillary Clinton would deal with this IF Walker had said the same.

Move over ‘girls’ of ‘The View’ - - this would be all they’d talk about....

http://hotair.com/archives/2015/05/28/bernie-sanders-1972-men-fantasize-about-abusing-women-women-fantasize-about-being-raped/

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy,” wrote Sanders. “A woman on her knees. A woman tied up. A woman abused.”

Sanders didn’t specify as to how he had gained such a deep understanding of the male psyche.

In terms of his understanding of female sexual fantasies, Sanders provided similar insight.

“A woman enjoys intercourse with her man–as she fantasizes about being raped by 3 men simultaneously.”
