I came of age in the late 60’s. My friends were ribald, but I chose t be a virgin at marriage, to give my future family a leg up on security. I dated a lot of cheerleaders in HS, and married one (Christian cheerleader is not an oxymoron).
We’re coming up to 40 years in a few weeks, 4 kids, 7 g-kids, all part of the promise I embraced in my youth, oneness and all that.
I made my tagline from Bill Clinton. Unrestrained hormones have created most of our societal ills. I want to create a bumper sticker that says: “We WON’T be ruled by reprobates”.

I tell my high school students the same thing.
What does society think is cool? You’re tatted up, with a few loose girlfriends, a child you don’t take care of, and a drug addiction.
What does society think is not cool? You’re a hard worker, with a wife that loves you, kids that call you dad every day, and a family that makes you feel lucky to be alive.
