Below, it’s suggested the Pope may have been not aware of the background of this Father Radcliffe. The Pope appoints 40 to this council. I would bet this isn’t over, that Radcliffe will be replaced once the Pope knows the whole story of Radcliffe.

“London, Ontario’s Father Paul Nicholson suggested in his blog that observers can wonder how much Pope Francis knows about Father Radcliffe. The Holy Father is only a man, and is limited in how much he can know about any and every appointment,” Father Nicholson wrote. “His primary language is Spanish and perhaps he has not been sufficiently briefed. And that may be done intentionally by those around him.”

There’s no excuse for anyone in any authority who is making hiring decisions to NOT know about where the candidate stands, religious or secular.

If we can find out about this guy’s background, HE can.

I’m sure he has more resources and is privy to more background information on this man than we are.

There’s no excuse for any claim of ignorance on the part of the pope for this appointment. When Catholics continue to make excuses for why he keeps doing the off the wall things he does and says, then it cuts deeply into their credibility. It reveals wishful thinking and desperation, that things aren’t really as bad as they appear.

They are. You all are in a world of hurt and everyone else can see it. You all need to get your heads out of the sand and admit it because the continual denial and excuses are not going to accomplish anything.

Given the full context of Francis, your assessment is wishful thinking. Just ask Cardinal Burke.
