...so that’s what the other hand has been up to...
Lesser evil anyone??
BTTT
And I believe that Sessions voted for Cloture.
The system says we can not know the mechanics of any international trade bill, until it’s passed. Something about the chess being played by all the parties to it.
Maybe that system of secrecy has been tolerable in the past, but under Obama it’s a very alarming thing to see it passed, blind, especially with election campaign start-ups looming.
This issue confuses me here at Free Republic.
Sure, we don’t trust Obama and hate to give him any leeway.
But, aren’t we free traders? Don’t we want more trade with other countries? Isn’t that capitalism? Don’t we believe in capitalism? Don’t we want our President (God willing) in 2 years to have this same flexibility?
On trade (not to be confused with “treaty” or Iran- issues where 2/3rds of Senate should still apply - won’t get into that ugly Iran legislation) don’t we want more?
The usual suspects - trade unions, environmentalists, maybe even Hillary (if she ever let’s any one know) are against this thing. (Hillary used to be for it when she worked for “O”, but now she is probably against it to appease Warren.)
That alone should tell us that we should probably be for it!
38 is enough to prevent ratification of a treaty. Those 38 senators cannot have their right to approve a treaty taken away by a majority vote.
I'd really love to know what dirt 0bama has on McConnell and Boehner. Meanwhile, as long as they're in power the GOP (Give 0bama Power) Party will not get a dime from me!
These fools don’t even see how Obama is demeaning them personally as well as institutionally, then they go and do this. Groveling idiots.
The Empire wins again.
I can’t believe Ted Cruz would vote for such thing.

Key words FTA: As Buck said, recounting a conversation he had with a constituent, If the president wont abide by the Constitution, what gives you any confidence that hell abide by TPA?
