Bill Gothard has been exposed as a pervert. His rigid child rearing may have seemed like an answer to the liberal social problems assaulting families but I don’t trust any instruction that is so dogmatic and rigid. People will latch on to anything they think give magic answers. Me too in other ways.

My friend was a translator who worked for the ministry, first for the missionary teams in her home country, then they brought her to the U.S. to translate written materials. She worked with Bill G. and as she still looks like a Russian model, I know she must have been gorgeous then. She said she was never hit on nor did she see or hear of anything. If he just resigned his position, then it’s not over. Were they doing the series nine years ago? My only opinion is this would have stayed within the family’s knowledge and nobody would have cared IF they didn’t go on tv to show their life. Once you put yourself out there... you are fair game for every incident that occurs. Take Honey Boo Boo.. would anyone had known that Mama June re-kindled a relationship with the same man who had molested her daughter when she was a little girl? Nope.. no one. Once in the media’s eye... you are fair game.

However, later in the report Michelle Duggar states where their son was sent was "not really a training center," rather he was sent to stay with an acquaintance and do manual labor.
I guess the episode of 19 Kids and Counting titled “Josh Sent Away To Do Manual Labor” never aired.
The sequel, 19 Years in Prison and Counting, will get better ratings, but some of the night time prison cell scenes will be rated R.

are you really saying that a little boy touching female genetalia .is not normal and is sick......where in the galaxy do you live.....experimentation is part of most children's growing up.....you look....it's different....and you touch it....sheesh.
I feel very sorry for his sisters that he molested. The “unsealed” police report (redacted but still says it was his sisters and one non-family member), violates the privacy of the victims (his sisters).
No doubt for his victims, this “unsealed” police report may cause more mental anguish for them.
Josh’s interaction with his children should be monitored.
Girl was smart to put a note in a book lent to a outsider. I guess Josh did not need to kiss or touch (other than holding hands and giving “side hugs”) his wife before marriage, he already felt up his own sisters. Yuk.

Don’t think a fourteen year old is a little boy. My oldest are fourteen and fifteen, they know it would be a horrible thing to do to a little girl.

And you’re quite right, Josh’s statement alludes to the harm that could have come to him—not of the harm that did come to his victims.

They are either addicted to fame or are desperate for money. After all, who can support NINETEEN children unless you are wealthy?
You may be right. He was guilty as sin when he was a teenager. Is he guilty now ? We could stone him, or otherwise punish him. He deserves to die. So do all the teenagers and adults who killed their innocent babies through abortion. Both cases involve wickedness against God's laws, and the babies are always innocent.
In his case, has he re offended ? If not then your premise is in doubt. If he ever re offends he deserves to die the death, so to speak. I actually hope he never reoffends, there is already too much evil in the world.
