The important questions to ask here are, “Why do we have compulsory education laws? What about the First Amendment right to free assembly?”
This kid is likely a disruptor in the class. He doesn't want to be there.
The government is violating his ( and his mother's ) First Amendment Right to free assembly by forcing him into a prison-like environment. The government is also trashing the First Amendment Rights of the other children who are forced into assembly with a kid who doesn't want to be there as is likely making their lives miserable.
Since any women can pop out a child regardless of her ability to properly raise them, having compulsory education laws are a very good thing...
I know as a society we are completely failing a large portion our children through corrupted school system, teachers unions and a host of other societal ills...but a educated population is what a civil growing culture does to maintain a level of prosperity and peace...
To many parents "free assembly" means free to do nothing to educate their children...
The child is on the honor roll according to the mom. She is not some drug-addled single mom in a trailer park.
Please do not jump to conclusions without facts. That is what liberals do.
