Obama: We Are Not Losing War Against ISIS – Loss of Ramadi Just a “Setback”

Barack Obama says,“We’re not losing,” the war against ISIS in Iraq.

Baghdad Barack

Tell that to the Ramadi refugees.

After ISIS takes Ramadi, Iraq and Palmyra, Syria, Barack Obama insists we are not losing. Yahoo reported:

US President Barack Obama has described the loss of key Iraqi territory to Islamic State as a tactical setback, while insisting the war against the jihadist group is not being lost.

“I don’t think we’re losing,” Obama said in an interview with news magazine The Atlantic published Thursday, days after the Iraqi city of Ramadi was overrun.

“There’s no doubt there was a tactical setback, although Ramadi had been vulnerable for a very long time,” he said.

Since August 2014, on Obama’s orders, a US-led coalition has hit more than 6,000 targets in Iraq and Syria with airstrikes, with the aim of degrading the Islamic State group.

Obama has refused to return US combat troops to Iraq, following a long brutal war after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

But the rout in Ramadi has called into question US strategy and the credibility of Iraq’s central government.

Obama blamed it on a lack of training and reinforcement of Iraq’s own security forces.

“They have been there essentially for a year without sufficient reinforcements,” he said.

“But it is indicative that the training of Iraqi security forces, the fortifications, the command-and-control systems are not happening fast enough in Anbar, in the Sunni parts of the country.”

Ramadi is in Iraq’s minority Sunni heartland, a short drive from the capital Baghdad.

Yet Big Media backs him up and the LIVs continue to hang on his every word. I blame Big Media for the State of the Union. Without their complicity in the deception, Obama, et el, would never have gotten anywhere near the seats of power in the (now soon to be) USSA.

Why are we fighting ISIS anyway? I say we let them blow up the whole middle east. Then when they have finished that and turn their attention to us, THEN we go full on scorched earth and leave nothing but ashes and embers.

We have been in setback mode for 7 years. At some point it becomes an identifiable trend Barry.

I won’t believe this until I see SCORCHED EARTH against the bloody savages.

I want to see the “Highway of Death” that GHW Bush left for Saddam in ‘91.

“He lives in denial.”

It’s more than denial. It’s a state of being ‘convinced’ that your opinions and actions are superior. It’s very common amongst ideologues and academics - and he is clearly an ideologue, and likely thinks of himself of somewhat of an academic (you just know he will wind up with a nominal Professorship at one or more Ivy university after the Presidency).

I remember Van Jones talking about US economics, and he basically said that it’s not that we don’t have enough money, it’s just that it isn’t distributed correctly. That view allows him to totally miss the reality of our national debt, and the fact that confiscating the wealth of the richest wouldn’t fix the problem. That type of ideological blindness is ubiquitous.

That would be a bad idea. To quote Gandalf the Grey: ’The victor would emerge stronger than either, and free from doubt,’

With Obummer that question becomes more meaningless as time goes on. dumBO will not take the same ground twice.

Well folks, Obama is telling the truth. You just need to understand who he is referring to when he speaks of ‘we’.
