My response was an optimistic one. Unfortunately, that same technology could create a weapon like the Star Wars Death Star, enabling rearranging atomic particles to destroy planets... leading to the collapse and destruction of society. Oh well, technology changes but people don't! that’s why i think it would be so hard for an alien intelligence to reach us. They would havet to advance.in a straight line thousands of years without self destruction to invent the technology to but what do I know?.
