Paul is correct the connected wealthy did not suffer during the 2008 recession while the middle class and elderly savers took it on the chin. Thanks to Republican President Bush and his Secretary of the Treasury Hank Paulson (former Goldman Sachs Chairman) the Wall Street banks and investment firms were bailed out and paying multimillion dollar bonuses a year later. In addition Bush/Paulson gave us TARP and the initial bailout of General Motors. Obama merely doubled down on the policies Bush put in place.

We see the same thing now with the secret trade deals Boehner, McConnell and the GOP Congress are excited to approve. Whether you are pro or anti “free” trade, any secret deal cannot be good for the average citizen.

McConnel and Paul worked this deal re: NSA. It is Paul’s “big issue”. Paul supports McConnel in his re-election and McConnel lobs NSA softballs for Paul. It is so clearly organized Kabuki Theatre they failed to consider that when it was planned out last year the back drop would have changed and their little play fell on it’s face.
