The lawyer does his best to come across as a nut case, but if the article is to be believed (difficult with all the spin) then he’s doing the right things for his clients.
I suspect that if the local judiciary drags it’s collective feet much longer, the ACLU is going to show up and the bikers are going to walk on civil rights issues. Guilt or innocence will no longer matter at that point.

Yup. The lawyer is right on point. I filed an HC on behalf of a friend of mine that was being detained with no charges and no bail set. This was 25 years ago. First judge didn't even know what I was talking about. I got three Superior court judges recused and wound up in Federal court. The Fed judge listened to me for 45 seconds, looked at the County DA and asked if they were going to charge the guy and the DA stammered around. The judge signed the writ on the spot and ordered the DA to release my friend “immediately”. Great day!
