Nice bit of work here.
Not going to go for your click bait. Why should we care what Scott Walker has to say about ultrasounds? I am not going to decide who I vote for president based on such a minor issue.
It shows just how fast the news cycle really is.
Dana is great!
“....That’s when Politico took the last line and inserted it into a breathless headline that read, “Scott Walker defends mandatory ultrasounds: ‘It’s just a cool thing out there,’” suggesting that it was the enforced law he was referring to as ‘cool.’
Politico has since deleted the quote from its headline (you can still their initial intention in the URL), but not before several other liberal-leaning outlets published similar titles. RedState has a roundup of several websites that ran with Politico’s initial error and jumped on the chance to excoriate Walker as hostile to women’s anatomical rights.....”
“.....Says Dana, anyone with the reading comprehension of a dolphin knows that Walker was specifically describing ultrasound images, not the legislation itself.
But who needs from reading. Here is the actual relevant portion of the interview on video:

And THAT... is what you call “The Straw Man” argument.
1) You say something your opponent never said that’s easy to attack.
2) Then you begin to attack your opponent on something they never said.
3) The person being attacked will immediately go on the defense and get very upset.
4) No matter what your opponent says you keep attacking them over and over again with the same FAKE talking point.
5) The ignorant majority of people will not look into this and assume your opponent said it as long as you keep repeating the lie.
This is known as the “The Straw Man” argument. The media and the DNC use it all the time.
